Our belts are tooled, painted and sewn by hand in Mexico. Every belt in the online shop lists its size. Want one cut to fit you? Message us before you order and we'll size it before it ships. Custom-cut belts are final sale.

Our story

From Mexico to you.

Piel Canela started on our own trips through Mexico. We saw what its leather artisans can make, and we wanted to bring their work home for everyone who can't make the trip.

Today our pieces come from workshops across Mexico, where each one is cut, tooled and painted by hand. Some purses are our own designs: we choose the leather, the embossing and the tooling, and they carry the Piel Canela tag.

We're Mexican-Americans, and this is our way of sharing the beauty of our culture. Every bag has a story, and now it's part of yours.
